Dr. Maria Montessori developed the Montessori Method of teaching in the early 1900’s.
She developed her philosophy of education through clinical observations of children and her extensive academic background including psychology, medicine, and anthropology.
Montessori seeks, as its goal, an independent self-directed child.
Our program fosters the development of responsibility, cooperation and enjoyment of learning. Specially designed Montessori materials are integrated with other developmentally appropriate activities to provide the child with progressive learning in the areas of practical life, sensorial, mathematics, language, and cultural activities.
Foundations for Learning:
We also believe in 4 basic rules of imparting learning. These foundations are
Belonging:
where our program cultivates authentic caring relationships and connections to create a sense of Belonging between Children, Adult and the world around them.
Well-Being:
Our program nurtures children’s healthy development and supports their growing sense of self.
Engagement:
We provide an environment to encourage children to active, creative and meaningful exploration, play and enquiry.
Expression:
We foster communication and expression in all forms with a child.
